ABOUT
human existence.
It was during a resourcing trip to Europe that his true passion for painting was born. Impregnated by art nouveau and the works of the Pre-Raphaelites, Symbolists and Nabis, Isabelle Langevin finds in this symbolically charged ornamental atmosphere her own crossing of the mirror. Flowing naturally, his experiences acquired in illustration and decorative art allow her to translate his universe. This liberation manifests itself in a sensual pictorial discourse whose inner tension is palpable. She began painting in oils, but soon preferred acrylics on paper. This medium inspires her with an assertive and lively gesture, which seems to capture the moment. The authenticity of this fleeting impression leads her to abandon detail in favor of a harmony of color and shape, in a poetic and personal interpretation ofIsabelle Langevin is a professional member of the RAAV and the Institute of Figurative Arts.
